Past President of Leeds Law Society and of the Yorkshire Union of Law Societies as well as a founding Board Member of the SRA. For 25 years a partner at Walker Morris prior to becoming a p/t Asylum and Immigration judge and a Tribunal Chair. The founding Chair and Director of Leeds Legal and a Board Member of Leeds Metropolitan University as well as chair of the the National Law Society accreditation unit for immigation practitioners. Outside legal matters, a regular sports broadcaster and attender of Town Hall concerts and Opera North.
