Building on our heritage, the Society furthers the modern needs of a modern profession. With an energetic and focused executive team behind us, we have a clear aim to be at the centre of the local profession’s activity, acting as a hub for a variety of activities. We are focused on:
1. Delivering excellent and relevant membership benefits
These range from discounts at restaurants to stress counselling and include reductions in fees for accountants who service the profession
2. Delivering excellent and relevant training
Whether it is the compulsory Management course or a niche area of the law, we will look to ensure our members needs are served. We have the central resource and contacts to source relevant speakers .
3. Building communication
We want members to have a voice on local and national issues; to inform us and to be well informed. We have rebuilt our website which will act as a conduit for our communication activities. We link to MP’s and other policy makers to ensure our voice is heard
4. Promoting the local profession
Through our subsidiary Leeds Legal we promote Leeds as a centre for legal activity
5. Having a good time
We all have to unwind. Arranging social events where we can meet other members or those relevant to the profession and our businesses is what the Society does well. We have events throughout the year as well as the Annual Dinner in Spring.
