Leeds hosts Dallas delegation (7th November)

The delegates from the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce’s UK Taskforce, are visiting the city, looking at opportunities for Dallas businesses across the Yorkshire region.

Members from the Leeds Legal management team, alongside key sponsor, UKTI are presenting to the Dallas delegates this morning, as part of the city visit, facilitated by Leeds City Council.

This visit is the latest in a series of successful international appearances for Leeds Legal, following last week’s visit to Leeds’ twin city of Hangzhou, China and the Düsseldorf business briefing which took place in September.

During the two-day visit the Dallas delegates will also attend the Leeds Financial Services Initiative campaign launch and meet with the British American Business Council.

Deborah Green, regional manager for the Law Society of England and Wales and founding member of Leeds Legal said, “We are delighted to welcome the delegation from the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Leeds Legalis the first city-based legal campaign of its kind, but we are proud to work collaboratively as part of a broader city-wide campaign to promote Leeds as a strong economic force and an world-class city in which to do business.”

Councillor Andrew Carter, executive board member responsible for development and economic regeneration said:“I am delighted that one of the fastest growing commercial centres of the USA should have a business delegation visiting Leeds. They have clearly been impressed with Leeds on this visit, and have a great success story to tell.

“I am sure we will both learn from each other on this visit, and I hope it will result in increased business opportunities for both cities.”
