Access to our Extensive Legal Library
Members have access to our library facilities at 1 Albion Place and also the libraries of the Leeds Metropolitan University. Leeds Metropolitan University Libraries
Members of the Leeds Law Society may use the libraries at Cloth Hall Court, Quebec Street and Leslie Silver Building, Civic Quarter Campus, Woodhouse Lane.Access is restricted to print resources only and not the online facilities. Members can check on the availability of their required books at Leeds Metropolitan University Law School Library Catalogue
Access at Cloth Hall Court from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday (9.00pm during term time) and on Saturday mornings during term time. The bulk of practitioner books will be held at Cloth Hall Court.The law collection situated in the LPC reading room is reference only and there will be no borrowing rights.
Photocopying will be by usage of a pre-paid i-print copy card, which Leeds Law Society will keep topped up and for which users will periodically account for their individual actual printing costs incurred via invoices issued from 1 Albion Place.
Access to the collection in the main Library at Leslie Silver Building is 8.30 am to 11 pm seven days a week.
Academic books and the rest of the practitioner books will be held at the Leslie Silver Building.
Borrowing rights are available to Leeds Law Society members via corporate or individual membership of the Library which will entitle the holder, at a cost of £100 per annum, to borrow up to 5 items at any one time.
Photocopying facilities are available to members of Leeds Law Society.A £5 refundable deposit secures the loan of an i-print copy card from the Help and Information Point in the library.Members can then add a minimum of 50p credit (non-refundable) to the card.

Reference to case reports, statutes and books. Members can check on the available stock at Leeds Law Society Library Books or Leeds Law Society Reports and Statutes
Study facilities: the library has space for study purposes.
Free loan of books to members.Books may be borrowed for a period of 3 days.A fine of £1.00 per book per day will be charge for the late return of library publications.
A personal signature is required for any book taken on loan.Members may send a letter of authority for persons to borrow on their behalf but responsibility remains with the member.
