Cobbetts Takes AIM

 The Leeds office of Cobbetts has advised AIM-listed Mattioli Woods on its acquisition of the JB Group.
Leicester-based Mattioli Woods is one of the UK’s leading pension and wealth management consultancies, serving controlling directors, professionals, owner-managed businesses and small to medium-sized PLCs.
The JB Group comprises John Bradley Financial Services and North Star SIPP LLP, which provide pensions consultancy, trusteeship and administration services to SSAS and SIPP clients.
Corporate partner Guy Jackson led the acquisition team for Cobbetts, assisted by solicitor, Nia Bryan. Guy said: “This acquisition is mutually beneficial for the two companies involved. As well as enabling Mattioli Woods to consolidate its position in a highly fragmented market, the acquisition will also allow the company to offer additional services to JB Group’s client list.”
