Walker Morris welcomes Qingdao delegation
Walker Morris has hosted a visit by a Chinese delegation from the high-tech city of Qingdao.
The delegation, made up of five directors of the city’s Bureau of Science and Technology and the Director of its Municipal Intellectual Property Office, are in Europe to explain the importance China places on the protection of intellectual property and to meet leading law firms.
Partner and Head of the Intellectual Property Department at Walker Morris Patrick Cantrill is an expert on trading with China and has been instrumental in establishing the firm’s China Trade Practice Group. He said: “With its pre-eminence in key sectors such as electronics, manufacturing, marine engineering, consumer goods and brewing, Qingdao is a major economic force in China. The high-level delegation is in Europe to meet a number of leading law firms to discuss how to achieve the better protection of intellectual property in our respective countries.”
