 The Leeds office of Cobbetts has advised Jamesstan Investments on its acquisition of locally based bus and coach manufacturer, Optare Holdings Limited.
Jamesstan is an investment company of Roy Stanley, Chairman of AIM-listed Tanfield Group PLC.
Optare has operated  in the bus and coach industry since a management-led team bought it in July 2005 from North American Bus Industries Inc.
Guy Jackson and Chris Tang led the deal team for Cobbetts, assisted by Agata Walton and John Mcgee. Guy Jackson commented: “With industry expertise gained through decades of involvement in the bus and coach industry, Roy Stanley will add significant value to Optare and allow the business to move forward with the support of a financially strong holding company.”
