IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STANDARD CORE DAY - An update of the current position

"Following the announcement of the Prison Service Chief Operation Officer - Michael Spurr, the Core Day will be implemented w/c 29 June 2008.
This implementation will bring many changes to the regime at Leeds and will affect prisoners, staff and many other individuals, visitors and volunteer groups who work within the establishment.
The Core Day dictates that the prison will operate from 0730 - 1930 hrs Monday to Thursday and 0730 - 1700 hrs Fridays. Weekend routines will remain the same as is in operation and all activities must be managed within those times.
Prior to attending the prison in your professional capacity, please ensure that you speak with your regular contact within the establishment for further advice."
