Nigel Brook

Nigel Brook, commercial litigator and founding member of Tyr, has begun his twelve-month term as the President of Leeds Law Society.

Nigel hails from West Yorkshire but spent the early part of his career in London.  He has been working in Leeds for approaching ten years.  Nigel specialises in contentious tax, both disputes with HMRC and commercial claims with a tax element.

Nigel has been a Vice President of Leeds Law Society for two years and takes over as President from Shanika Varga-Haynes.

Since joining the board of directors, he has been involved with various of the Society’s committees.  He intends to spend the next year focusing on: (i) providing members with the opportunity to engage with their local legal community; (ii) hosting more know-how events; and (iii) championing Leeds and our legal sector.
