Client Services
In a 2016 report, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) published recommendations regarding the legal sector. Almost a decade later, ReviewSolicitors has offered its perspective on the CMA’s investigation. The conclusions provide valuable insights into the common challenges that the industry still faces today.
Enhance Consumer Choice
The report underscores the need to enhance consumer choice – this can be achieved by improving access to reviews, ratings, and detailed profiles of legal service providers. The SRA has found that 89% of consumers read reviews before instructing a law firm, proving that reviews are beneficial to encourage better client services and enhance consumer choice.
Clearer Pricing
The CMA’s call for clearer pricing and more straightforward information will aid prospective clients to find the best legal help for them. Consumers should be provided with ample resources to make well-informed decisions when selecting a solicitor. This promotes trust, transparency, and accessibility within legal services.
Quality of Services
Consumers must also be able to easily assess the quality of the legal services that they are considering. By collecting client reviews, law firms can offer clear and concise real-world insights into specific experiences with their solicitors. These reviews are invaluable for offering a more comprehensive picture of what a consumer should expect from their chosen legal provider.
While the CMA’s report still highlights critical areas for improvement in the sector, we remain optimistic about the upcoming positive changes that can be made.
ReviewSolicitors is eager to play an active role in driving those changes forward.
