For the first time since 2019, the city of Leeds will be celebrating Pride!
Pride is not only a celebration and about showing your support for the LGBTQ+ community but also an event aimed at achieving equal justice and equal opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning individuals.
For those of you who may not have attended Leeds Pride before, we can safely say that it is a wonderful experience. There is a parade which starts at the Rose Bowl and finishes at Lower Briggate. The city is a riot of colour and there are numerous stages set up throughout the city with live music and artists. It really is an event not to be missed!
This year, Leeds Law Society will once again be taking part in the Pride Parade itself!
The focus of Leeds Law Society is to achieve a more diverse and inclusive profession and we would like to make this year’s Pride the biggest and best for the Society.
The parade itself will take place on Sunday 7th August from 11.30am to around 3.30pm
This year, Leeds Law Society are also going to have some special musical guests joining us in the parade the “Bare Brass Band”. We will also be hosting a private drinks reception following the event at Rolands on Call Lane, sponsored by the wonderful Selborne Chambers.
The event is open to all member firms and their friends and we are looking for as many people as possible to join us. Firms are encouraged to wear their company branded t-shirts.
* Please note that due to limited numbers our event is only open to over 18s
If you are interested in taking part please book your places online or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The after drinks celebration is kindly been sponsored by the Selborne Chambers
