The Solicitors’ Charity is seeking a new Chair for its Board of Trustees and also has several exciting new Trustee roles, offering legal professionals, other specialists and experienced charity leaders the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of solicitors facing hardship.
This is a pivotal time to join The Solicitors’ Charity. With ambitious plans for growth and fundraising, the newly appointed Chair and Trustees will play a vital role in shaping the future of the charity and help to expand its support for individuals across the profession.

The Solicitors’ Charity has a long and proud history of supporting solicitors in times of need since 1858 – offering emotional, professional, physical, and financial wellbeing help to those facing personal or professional difficulties.
Now, the charity is building on this legacy by expanding its reach and broadening its services to meet the evolving needs of the legal community.
The Chair role is specifically for current or former solicitors, but trustee applicants can come from a variety of disciplines. The charity is particularly keen to hear from Trustee applicants who have expertise in employment law/HR, are financially qualified or are medical professionals.
